It’s been five years since Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, lost his four friends in a horrific plane crash. Unfortunately he hasn’t gotten over the tragedy or his fear of flying, which has made him drop out of touring with his band mates in Australia. He wrote a sincere message on his official Facebook page.
Read it inside.
I still haven’t gotten over the horrific events that took place the last time I flew when my plane crashed and 4 people were killed, two being my best friends. I gave the band my blessing to take another drummer if they still wanted to do the tour without me. I hope to come to Australia again some day perhaps by ship if need be. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a boat that worked with the schedule this time around. Once again I’m sorry to all the fans.
Gosh, I feel sorry for Travis. I remember when I cried while I was flying from San Diego to Las Vegas, so I can just imagine how he feels. That was probably a bad analogy but you know what I mean.
True fans of the drummer will understand and continue to support Barker.
