Will the fourth installment of the Transformers saga be our very last?
According to the official title released by Paramount this morning, it is a definite possibility.
Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg and will be released in theaters on June 27th, 2014.
The sandy movie poster features what looks to be a steel #4 and the letter E.
Fans are twirling their thumbs wondering if the transformers are facing extinction or if they’ll already be extinct by the time we eat our first piece of butter drenched popcorn.
Michael Bay has hinted that the Dinobots (robots that transform into dinosaurs) may be making their debut.
Earlier this year, Bay gave fans minor deets on the fourquel saying on his official website, “the story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different than the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.”
The fact that Shia LaBeouf will not be featured in Transformers: Age of Extinction makes me quite sad, since he was the reason I fell in love with the films to begin with. But, Mark Wahlberg is a great actor and very sexy, so I may be able to get over it…if he’s shirtless at least twice.
Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller.
It’s currently filming in Chicago.
