Thundercat, why must you make me so sad? The incredible bassist has decided to take his amazing album, Drunk, on tour. But, there’s just one problem with this…his venues suck balls! See the locations inside.
Some of you may be wondering why I’m making a deal about where Thundercat has decided to perform. But, if you’re a fan of this big ball of talent then you’ll probably understand where I’m coming from when I say: HE’S PLAYING AT TOO MANY FESTS!!
You see, Thundercat is someone you sit back, relax and take in. He’s a man of many talents and sounds. Even my imaginary husband Pharrell Williams praised him, so you know he’s on point. Which is why the idea of him playing at music fests where people are consumed with too much alcohol and drugs while in the heat, makes for a bad Thundercat experience.
For instance, I live in Los Angeles. He’s playing at FYF Fest. Noooo! A single ticket for this fest will run you more than $100 and the average ticket price based on other tour dates is $25!!!
If you follow me on social media then you know I recently traveled to Seattle to attend a Radiohead concert. Best experience of my life! So, I have no issue with hopping on a plane to see a band. But, Thundercat is playing a block party in Seattle. He’s playing the Outside Lands Festival in San Franciso. Now, he is playing the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, but he performs on a Wednesday and a girl has a day job.
So, now are you understanding why I feel the way I do? Here is the link to get tickets to his concerts, in case you like festivals.
