UPDATED Steve Harvey Shows Employees Who’s Boss: “Do Not Approach Me”

Steve Harvey

Steve Harvey does not play. Can we just confirm that right now? Now, I'm not into him trying to tell me how to date ESPECIALLY since he's not only a cheater but a product of divorce. But, I am into him setting work boundaries...

There is an email going around the net that was supposedly written by Mr. Harvey. Its a note to his current staff of the Steve Harvey show, welcoming them back to work and enforcing a new employee rule: do not approach me.

"There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE. Do not come to my dressing room unless invited." is a few things on the list.

Yes, Steve Harvey is coming off a bit abrasive, but, I get it. He is a very busy man. The 60 year-old recently released a new book titled Jump, he has the talk show, his radio show, a clothing line for mature men (no shade) and who knows how many other jobs. Oh, Family Feud! "I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day." Shoot, can I tell that to my co-workers?

I get it. His requests makes it seem like his staff has been giving him a lot of attention for the last four seasons. Its almost odd that he's asking this of them now since he's about to pack up and leave his employees and the show for Los Angeles.

Word on the street is that Steve didn't inform his Chicago employees that he was moving his show to the west side to interview more celebrities. Now, that's not cool.

"STEVE is going to be different than my current daytime show. The new location will allow me to welcome more celebrity guests and more importantly let me do what I enjoy doing best, being funny." Steve said in an official statement.  I just hope his Los Angeles staff is ready for the wrath.

Steve has made a statement regarding the letter; and he's not apologizing.

I don't apologize about the letter. I just didn't want to be in this prison anymore where I had to be in this little room, scared to go out and take a breath of fresh air without somebody approaching me, so I wrote the letter. I've always had a policy where, you know, you can come and talk to me -- so many people are great around here, but some of them just started taking advantage of it.

Let's talk about it!
