Pharrell Williams Talks Oscars, BBC for Women and “Glory”

Talented and sexy music producer Pharrell Williams, sat  down with GQ Magazine to chat about consulting music for the Oscars, BBC for women and producing Jay-Z’s “Glory”…sort of.

He produced the score for the popular children’s film Despicable Me, which lead to an even bigger job, the Oscars, “We have to reinterpret some of the music for the nominees. Well I can’t give but so much away. Because Hans [Zimmer] and I have tried to keep it under wraps so that there’s literally no exceptation and people are excited about the stuff we’re cooking. We’re thinking beyond the usual standards.”

Not an Oscar fan but thinking you’ll tune in to hear what incredible work Williams has mastered yet again? Me too.

Pharrell Williams is a fashion genius. He’s had so much success with his Billionare Boys Club clothing for men that he’s decided to branch out and create a women’s line, “Again, I can’t give it away. Somebody else will do it. [Laughs] But it’s definitely us. It’s signature us. It’s awesome.”

And what about producing that one song featuring Jay-Z’s newborn baby, oh yeah, Glory, “That was, uh…That was, um…Everything was by design. That’s all I’ll say.”

Word has it that he’s working with Lupe Fiasco on a joint record.
