Freaky Friday Is Getting Remade AGAIN…But, There’s A Catch

Freaky Friday

Freaky Friday,  we have two versions: the original movie made in 1976 about a stressed out mother and her daughter who swap bodies for a day. (It’s just a day, right?) And then we have the 2003 remake which starred Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. And that hot white boy. Well, now we’re getting a third. Details inside.

Freaky Friday

Heat World reports that not only is Freaky Friday being remade, but it’s being remade into a musical. Yup. Television writer, Bridget Carpenter, has already written the script while the music will be composed by  Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey.

Since this is a musical, you shouldn’t expect any A-list actresses to star in it, but Broadway actresses Heidi Blickenstaff and Cozi Zuehlsdorff will play the leading ladies.

Lastly, it’s Disney that will premiere the remake sometime in 2018. I’m really not one for musicals but maybe I’d watch this in a series of 20 minute increments as I doze off for bed.

Let's talk about it!
