Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers LP2' Breaks Billboard Records but Doesn't Surpass a Certain Pop Star

If you have his song Rap God on repeat like I do.

Then you aren’t surprised that Eminem’s album Marshal Mathers LP2 sold 792,000 copies in its first week, nabbing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts.

“Unlike most people in the record industry, he’s consistently able to sell hundreds of thousands of records in one week. We’re talking about an artist repeatedly doing this since his second album.” says Keith Caulfield, Billboard‘s associate director of charts/retail.

“It’s normal for him. And he can sell tracks. And he can sell out stadiums. How can you bottle what he does? It’s amazing,” he added.

In fact, Eminem has the second biggest sales week of the year. Unfortunately he just couldn’t surpass one pop star that feels we’ve all just taken a “a sh*t” on him.

That’s right, Justin Timberlake holds the record for most albums sold in one week for the year of 2013,with the release of the 20/20 Experience.

Marshall Mathers LP2 was streamed 10 million times on Spotify.

Drake falls at the third spot, selling 658,000 copies of his latest album Nothing Was the Same.

Let's talk about it!
