Denise Vasi Responds to 'Single Ladies' getting Axed

You’ve seen her featured in small roles on the silver screen.

It wasn’t until she took over the character of Raquel on the VH1 scripted sitcom Single Ladies, that people really began to pay attention to actress Denise Vasi.

Which is why it’s so unfortunate that the show has been canceled.

The cable network confirmed the news over the weekend but Vasi was busy celebrating her birthday at a Beyonce concert in London. So today she finally responded to the sad news, in an Instagram post.

It reads:

The fact is, sometimes it’s really hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun’ -Carrie Bradshaw From the moment I read for “Raquel” I knew I had my “Carrie.” I fell in love with the girl who believed in loving the “french fry guy” even though she rocked Chanel. I loved how she was “Ride or Die” despite her fancy upbringing. How she was always there for her friends in times of need, supporting and encouraging them. I loved how passionate she was about life and about fashion. How she always took risks and how she always changed things up. I loved how she laughed at her own jokes and how nervous she got in awkward situations. I loved how she was evolving and coming into her own. Most of all I loved how she put fear aside and followed her dreams. Raquel inspired me and I hope she inspired you. Thank you guys for loving her as much as I did. I know she will forever remain in our fashionista hearts! The next four episodes are to die for, pls don’t miss them!!!

So sad. I checked her IMDB profile and there were no listings for upcoming projects, but I am sure we will see her through a camera very soon.
