Chris Rock is about to make your Valentine’s Day dreams come true. No, he isn’t going to arrive to your house in a horse and carriage; he’s going to do something even better…premiere a stand-up special.
After 10 whole years, the comedian will drop his first stand-up special on Netflix this Valentine’s Day. Entertainment Weekly reports it’s called Chris Rock: Tamborine and it’s directed by Bo Burnham. The comedy special was recorded at Brooklyn’s Academy of Music in New York City.
Tamborine is just one of two specials he’s agreed to do for Netflix after they gave him a hefty $40 million check. The network’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said:
Chris Rock is a beloved actor and director, and his remarkable stand-up makes him comic royalty.
I still have yet to watch Dave Chapelle’s special. I better get on it.
